6-Axle Trailers
6-axle trailers are specialized trailers that allow for long, tall, and heavy loads. The additional axles give the trailer more carrying capacity. These trailers have broad capabilities but sacrifice legal weight for these added benefits. They are used for overdimensional and heavy haul loads. These trailers are not all that common, so it is necessary to plan ahead for your shipment.

Double Drop 6-Axle Trailer Dimensions
Double drop 6-axle trailers go even further than their step deck counterparts. These trailers have a shorter main deck than step deck trailers, but they make up for it with lower clearance off the ground. Because of their extra axles, these trailers still have significant carrying and length capacities. For this and other reasons, these trailers are often the right choice for overheight loads. However, their availability is only moderate, so make sure to plan ahead if you require one of these trailers. Many of these trailers also come with RGN capabilities, allowing loads to be driven on and off of the trailer.
